Bibi About to Feel 'Wrath of Trump,' as Blatant Effort to End Ceasefire Exposed

Nov. 22—Sources close to the White House report that President Donald Trump has "had enough" of the Butcher of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu's efforts to sabotage the fragile ceasefire that the Trump team and its international partners brought about in Gaza, as the first phase of the Trump Plan peace process.

These sources say that Trump and his key team members, including Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son‑in‑law Jared Kushner, now view Bibi and his government coalition as the main obstacles to peace in Gaza and the region. The Netanyahu government, said a source, "and not Hamas, not Iran or anyone else stands in the way of peace, especially in Gaza. They have to be dealt with as such." Asked what that meant, the source responded, "that when something stands in the way of an objective that people are working towards, you remove it." The source reported that the White House is exploring ways to encourage the collapse of Netanyahu's government and its replacement with one that would work as a partner in the peace process.

Trump’s Waning Trust in Bibi

The source said the President, who has a strange personal affinity for Bibi even though he does not trust him, had thought that Netanyahu was the only political figure in Israel who could ultimately sell the Trump Peace Plan to the broadest segment of the population; this would require Bibi jettisoning his current coalition for a broader "grand coalition" for peace. But this and other sources say that Trump is rapidly coming to believe that "Bibi does not want peace. That he sees his messianic mission as killing as many Palestinians as possible. Trump will not be a party to that, as he would not be a party to Netanyahu's plans to starve Gazans."

Netanyahu has authorized strikes in Gaza, ostensibly in response to alleged Hamas violations of the ceasefire that went into effect early last month, and attacks on Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the positions that they had withdrawn to behind the so‑called yellow line, as part of the Trump Plan. Bibi was warned directly by Witkoff, and then later by Kushner, that such attacks needed to show restraint and be commensurate to the alleged Hamas attacks. Three IDF soldiers have been killed in alleged violations, with a handful wounded. As of this morning, Israeli "retaliatory" attacks have killed more than 350, including well over 150 women and children, with almost a thousand wounded and maimed, according to Palestinian health officials.

Then, in the last 24 hours, Bibi sent warplanes and drones on strikes after a single militant, who the IDF claimed was Hamas, crossed the yellow line and allegedly fired on IDF positions. The Israeli strikes killed more than 24 people, mostly women and children.

Disinformation Campaign and Hamas Response

Then that this morning a report appeared in a Saudi news service that Hamas had announced that, as a result of repeated Israeli violations, it had informed Witkoff that the ceasefire was over and that Hamas would resume fighting. Sources traced this report not to Hamas but to Israeli operatives and saw it as an effort to actually unleash Hamas through the spread of the message to loosely connected militants in Gaza.

But Hamas itself responded quickly to the false disinformation, releasing an official statement that spread throughout the region, declaring the report fake news and affirming Hamas’s support for the ceasefire.

“Israel is fabricating pretexts to evade the agreement and return to the war of annihilation, while it is the one violating the agreement daily and systematically,” Ezzat al‑Risheq, member of the Hamas political bureau, told Quds News Network.

“There is no truth to what the Israeli sources published regarding Hamas informing [Steve] Witkoff that the agreement has ended. We have called on the mediators and the US administration to intervene and compel Israel to implement the agreement.”

Had Hamas not responded so quickly, it is likely that Hamas fighters would have started attacking IDF positions, and the war could have restarted. Sources report that when the fake news appeared, the Hamas leadership immediately called Witkoff to say the reports were untrue, and that they believed this was a coordinated effort by Netanyahu and Israeli intelligence to cancel the ceasefire.

Challenges to the Trump Plan

There have been similar false reports that Hamas has stated it will not disarm, which would go counter to what has been agreed to in the Trump Plan. Sources in the region report Hamas remains committed to disarming but wants to ensure that the gangs and clans armed by Netanyahu to fight Hamas are also disarmed. These sources say that many of the violent incidents attributed by the IDF to Hamas are actually committed by these armed gangs and clans.

Some sources have speculated that some of the publicized attacks on the IDF were also committed as false flag operations by these Israeli armed groups. The American CENTCOM base in Israel, charged with monitoring the ceasefire among other tasks, has said it has not been able to confirm that the attacks were the responsibility of Hamas, who has repeatedly denied any responsibility.

International Security Force

Witkoff had planned to meet this week with Hamas chief negotiator Khalil al‑Hayya to discuss these matters, but he was forced to put off the meeting because of his involvement in the Trump peace plan for Ukraine. There were also false reports, circulated by the Israelis, that the meeting had been cancelled because of Israeli pressure. Sources close to the White House say that given what has happened over the last 24 hours, the meeting will take place as soon as possible.

It is also likely that Witkoff intends to deliver a stern message to Bibi that he needs to "play ball," and that the United States will not tolerate any obstruction.

Witkoff and others have been working on the pressing issue of putting together the International Security Force (ISF), the transitional force that will police Gaza while a Palestinian peace force is created. Following the passage by the UN Security Council of an American‑sponsored resolution that authorizes the Trump peace plan, Witkoff has discussed with Turkey and others the composition of the ISF and wants to have something in place by next month. The ISF would be the agency that would receive Hamas' arms. Hamas fighters would be given amnesty and allowed to leave Gaza.

Trapped Hamas Fighters

Meanwhile, Witkoff is working on finding a country that would take the 200 Hamas fighters trapped in tunnels inside the IDF‑held "yellow zone." Bibi had originally refused to allow the fighters to surrender, preferring to kill them, with the idea of inflaming Hamas members who might then break the ceasefire. But Witkoff and Kushner, on behalf of President Trump, have demanded that the fighters be allowed to leave the tunnels alive to exile.

As the envoys work, the IDF, under Bibi's orders, are killing the trapped fighters.

“A short while ago, troops operating in eastern Rafah located and apprehended an additional terrorist who attempted to flee from the underground terror infrastructure in the Rafah area,” the army said in a statement today. “At the end of a 24‑hour pursuit, all 17 terrorists who attempted to flee the underground terror infrastructure in eastern Rafah were either eliminated or apprehended.”

Propaganda, Inquiry, and Public Pressure

Almost since the signing of the Peace Plan last month, Bibi's propaganda machine and various Zionist media outlets have circulated reports that there is little or no possibility of carrying the Trump Plan to its conclusion and to a possible Palestinian state. But sources report that despite this negative propaganda, there remains hope that the plan could lead to peace. The most important and encouraging sign, as many observers have noted, is that Trump remains involved and committed to making it happen. As one source put it, "Donald Trump is like a force of nature on this. He will not allow himself to be stopped, nor others to impede progress. Bibi has made a serious miscalculation here, with this scheme to blow up the ceasefire."

Meanwhile, sources report that Trump may be encouraging those in Israel, including the hostages and their families, who are demanding a full governmental commission of inquiry into the events leading to Oct. 7, 2023, the day Hamas launched the massacre attack on Israel. These sources say that American intelligence could provide some enlightening information on these matters, including a report that reviewed the leaked Hamas battle plan for the attack and found it credible. There is already a widespread belief among Israelis and others that Bibi may have allowed the attack, which slaughtered more than 1,200 Israelis and others, including many women and children, and led to the taking of 250 hostages, so that he could unleash his vengeance on the Palestinian people.

Tens of thousands are expected to gather at Tel Aviv's Habima Square tonight for a demonstration calling to immediately form a state commission of inquiry. Expected attendees include former PM Naftali Bennett, Democrats party chairman Yair Golan, opposition leader Yair Lapid, opposition lawmakers Avigdor Lieberman and Benny Gantz, and former IDF Chief Gadi Eisenkot.
