Kremlin Insists, Ignore What Deranged Merz Says

Sept. 5—The deranged German Chancellor Friedrich Merz posted the following on X Sept. 2: “[Russian President Vladimir] Putin is a war criminal. He is perhaps the most severe war criminal of our time that we see on a large scale. We must be clear about how to deal with war criminals: Leniency is out of place here.”

In response, the Kremlin dealt with Merz as one would with a mentally ill person. TASS reported that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Merz has made many “unfavorable” statements about Putin in recent hours, and that “The Kremlin urges not to take into account Merz’s opinion, including on a possible venue for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.”

Peskov was speaking in Beijing, where the Russian President is on a four-day visit, reported DPA.
