Naryshkin: Giving Ukraine Tomahawks Would Be a ‘Hostile’ Move

Oct. 19—Sergey Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), commented bluntly on the possibility of the U.S. giving Tomahawks to Kiev:

“If it happens, Russia will consider this move as a hostile one. And such a step, if implemented, will certainly substantially elevate the risks in the security sphere—not only European, but global security as well,” he told journalists on the sidelines of a meeting of the Council of the Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, according to TASS. “This issue, at least partially, was discussed yesterday during a phone conversation between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States of America,” the SVR chief added.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly refused to give NATO's Ukrainian dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy Tomahawks, most recently in their meeting in the White House Oct. 17. Sources close to the White House say that previous "leaks" about Trump's alleged willingness to provide the missiles came from NATO assets inside the Administration, fueled by the NATO propaganda machine that wants the war and its senseless slaughter to continue.

These and other sources say that Trump has been repeatedly mis-briefed by intelligence coming from British and NATO sources, about the actual battlefield conditions in the war, which have exaggerated Ukraine's success in resisting Russia's relentless advance, especially in the eastern regions, as well as the extent of Russian casualties. This was done with the intent of suckering Trump into believing that if more weapons and the Tomahawks were provided Ukraine, the war might somehow be won. Trump has now received more accurate assessments coming through the Director of National Intelligence and the CIA that reinforce previous reports that Ukraine has lost the war, and its situation is hopeless, which assessments have led Trump to conclude that giving Tomahawks to Ukraine would not only damage relations with Russia that would make a peace deal more difficult, but that the desperate Zelenskyy might actually hurl them at Moscow, and not military targets, with the help of NATO (NATO can operate Tomahawks and provide necessary targeting information, not only the U.S., as the Russians have claimed) which could lead to a nuclear confrontation and possible nuclear war.

Sources report that the Ukrainian dictator was told by Trump that the Tomahawks are off the table, not just for now, but forever.
