Netanyahu Asset Sinwar New Hamas Leader
Aug. 7—As had been expected following the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh. on order from the Butcher of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, Hamas has chosen Yahya Sinwar, widely suspected of being Bibi's asset, as its new leader. Sinwar was the driving force bheind the Oct. 7 attack on Israel that slaughtered 1,200 mostly Israeli citizens and took nearly 250 hostages that gave Bibi the bloody excuse to launch his war of extermination against Palestinians in Gaza.
Haniyeh, who was murdered July 30 in Tehran by an Israeli-directed assassination, which had the approval of the Global NATO faction in the U.S., was directing Hamas negotiations for a ceasefire/hostage deal and had said that Hamas would lay down its weapons to join the government of a new Palestinian state, should one finally be created. Sinwar, who some intelligence specialists call Bibi's co-evil twin remains opposed to a Palestinian state and wants to the war with Israel to continue until the "Zionist entity" is destroyed, even if it creates a million or more Palestinian martyrs. Sinwar is reputed to be somewhere in Gaza, although Israel cannot seem to find him despite Bibi claiming he their "top priority target." He was chosen yesterday by Hamas’s 50-strong Shura Council, a consultative body composed of officials elected by Hamas members in four chapters: Gaza, the West Bank, the diaspora, and security prisoners in Israeli jails.
Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan told Al-Jazeera television that Sinwar will continue the hostage-for-ceasefire negotiations that Haniyeh had been conducting. “The problem in negotiations is not the change in Hamas,” but Israel and the U.S. Hamas “remains steadfast in the battlefield and in politics…. The person leading today is the one who led the fighting for more than 305 days and is still steadfast in the field.”
While Sinwar clearly wants the negotiations to fail, he, like Bibi, remains under enormous pressure to reach a deal. U.S intelligence sources have reported that his field commanders in Gaza are tired of the war and report that Hamas is not only losing fighters in battle, but many have deserted and are refusing to fight further in a war that cannot be won.
"Sinwar is fighting on because it is his only protection," said an intelligence source. "If the fighting stops, he will either be assassinated from inside Hamas or by the Israelis. He is as much responsible for the slaughter of Palestinians as Bibi. They find themselves in the same place. If the war is stopped, and new war against Iran prevented, then Bibi is gone as well. Whenever peace was at hand, either Bibi or his co-evil twin Sinwar sabotage it. The blood of tens of thousands innocents is already on both their hands."
