New White House Gaza Peace Initiative Coming
June 29—Sources close to the White House report that, in the aftermath of the Israel-Iran 12 Day War, which included the US bunker-busting bombing mission last weekend on three Iranian nuclear enrichment sites, President Donald Trump and his Special Envoy to the region Steve Witkoff plan to inject new life into the moribund talks to end the slaughter and humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and to free the remaining hostages, dead and live, while releasing more Israeli-held Palestinian prisoners.
These sources say that Trump demanded this during talks with the Butcher of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, that saw the two work out the details and limits of the US involvement in Iran that Bibi had requested.
Trump Pushes Netanyahu on Gaza and Iran
I want to end this war with one strike, Trump reportedly told Bibi in the phone call. And I want you to agree to end the war in Gaza right now as well. It is a human tragedy that cannot go on, and you can help me stop it. Netanyahu agreed, stating that he would tell his negotiators to accept a modified proposal from Witkoff, that the envoy had set up for Hamas to agree to an immediate 60-day ceasefire and hostage return. Trump, these sources say, insisted that once the fighting stops, it would not restart. Trump believes that with the defeat of Iran on the nuclear front, the Mullahs already see that they have no means to continue support for Hamas or Hezbollah, which makes agreement on a peace deal possible. Hamas and Hezbollah were useless to Iran in the war, the President said.
These sources say that Witkoff is already setting in motion a resumption of the talks, likely within the next two weeks, after the outlines of his new proposal are worked out, most likely in Qatar.
Leaks and Denials of a Broader Peace Framework
The sources report there was also discussion of a broader plan that includes the extension of the Abraham Accords, to have Saudi Arabia, Syria, and other nations recognize Israel—an initiative that has been on Trump's agenda since Day 1 of his new administration. But these sources say that the leaks of details of this agreement are premature and misleading, and that their publication in the Zionist lobby leak sheet Israel Hayom is actually an effort to sabotage these plans. The paper reported that Bibi confidant and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer was headed to Washington to work out the details of an agreed-upon plan hammered out in a call with Bibi, Dermer, Trump, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to Israel Hayom, the agreed-upon plan starts with the rapid termination of the Gaza War:
• Gaza hostilities will conclude within two weeks. The “ending conditions” will involve four Arab nations (including Egypt and the United Arab Emirates) to administer the Gaza Strip, replacing the murderous Hamas terrorist organization. The remaining Hamas leadership will face exile to other countries, while the hostages gain freedom.
• Multiple nations globally will accept numerous Gaza inhabitants seeking emigration. • Abraham Accords expansion will bring Syria, Saudi Arabia, and additional Arab and Muslim countries to recognize Israel and establish official relationships.
• Israel will declare its willingness for future Palestinian conflict resolution under the “two states” concept, contingent upon the Palestinian Authority reforms.
• The United States will acknowledge limited Israeli sovereignty implementation in “Judea and Samaria” (as Israel refers to the West Bank).
Skepticism and Calculated Chaos
Is some of this true, asked a source. "Perhaps. But this is the Z-lobby firing a shot across the bow and putting things out there in a detailed way, that will cause an uproar here and in Israel, such as the agreement to back a 2-state solution, which Bibi has consistently rejected, and the Knesset is on record as opposing. So, take this with a grain of salt, and look for the chaos it introduces.
"What is true is that there is a good shot of pushing through a Gaza ceasefire deal, right now," said another source. "Bibi has made the decision that there are going to have to be elections this year. That means he needs to resolve the Iran mess. Trump can do that and get a deal there with the help of the Russians. But he must get the hostages returned and he needs to stop the pictures of the dying babies and starving people. So, Trump helps him there with a peace deal. And if these things happen, then maybe he gets the Abraham Accords expansion, as an election bonus. And, oh yeah, it would be nice if he could stop the corruption trials. But that is tougher nut to crack, because Bibi is guilty and most of Israel knows it. Trump's neanderthal statements about ending the trials didn't help; it was viewed as foreign interference in sovereign Israeli affairs—even by his supporters!"
Navigating Bibi's Future and Trump's Leverage
"If Trump were smart, which he is in many ways, he would not hitch his wagons to Bibi," said the source. "Take advantage of his present situation. Get the peace deals done, and let the process play out, and hopefully this messianic lunatic exits the scene, stage right. Good riddance. There will never really be peace until he is gone."
