Pentagon Approves Sending U.S. Arms to Ukraine
Sept. 21—The Trump administration’s first U.S. weapons aid packages for Ukraine have been approved and could soon ship, as Washington resumes sending arms to the Kyiv regime. Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby has approved as many as two $500 million shipments under the new mechanism called the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), the sources said. This comes out of the deal U.S. President Donald Trump signed with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Washington, D.C. on July 14, under which the U.S. will send weaponry and military supplies to the Kiev regime, provided the Europeans pay for them.
Pentagon sources declined to give an exact inventory of what has been approved for purchase by the Europeans for Ukraine, but they said it included air defense systems. One of the sources said the PURL list was making its way through the process after clearing the Pentagon’s policy unit.
Sources, however, were quick to point that the arms shipment was consistent with a change in policy, that has been engineered by Colby, with the support of Trump. "Yes, we are sending weapons—but not really," said one source. "It is the Europeans who are funding this war, and we serve as their arsenal. Trump has Europeanized the war, saying that if they want it to continue, along with NATO's {Ukrainian dictator} Zelenskyy, then they will pay for it. Trump wants the war to end, and you will see something coming from him on this, that is under discussion with the Russians. So, don't pay attention to the words, because for Trump, it is all propaganda until you see something that is serious. Trump knows that there is no way for Ukraine to win, no matter how long they fight. The only way that changes is if NATO intervenes directly, and while some fools talk about that like we are fighting World War I, it will mean World War III, and a global nuclear war. The Russians are not bluffing on that, which is why Trump wants this to end. And soon."
