Smotrich Calls for Starvation of All Palestinians, as Bibi Continues to Sabotage Deal

Aug. 9—The Nazi-like Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who along with National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, leads the insane religious zealots who are the backbone of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu’s messianic war of genocide against Palestinians and a two-state solution, threw some more coals on the fire that fuels their lunatic movement, stating that were it was up to him, he would starve two million Gaza residents to death, unless Hamas releases all hostages.

While various aid groups distribute it, Israel controls the entry of all aid to Gaza. Such an act of genocide would be “justified and moral,” Smotrich is quoted as saying Aug. 5 at the Katif Conference for National Responsibility.

Israel is only allowing aid into Gaza “because there is no choice,” said Smotrich, according to the Times of Israel. “Nobody will let us cause two million civilians to die of hunger even though it might be justified and moral until our hostages are returned. But what can we do?” he lamented. “We live today in a certain reality; we need international legitimacy for this war.”

Bibi uses Smotrich and Ben-Gvir to state policy that he in fact supports and has been implementing. He or his spokesmen then merely state that these are the views of the Ministers, and that they do not speak for the government—only he does.

This theater, which has helped this bloodthirsty murderer stay in power, then represents Bibi as a moderating force, trying to control the worst impulses of the deranged Israeli settler movement and others, whose views and acts of violence against Palestinians, other Arabs, and even including Israeli citizens, he in fact allows to happen.

But sources say that this particularly noxious outburst from Smotrich was intended to have a negative effect on the ongoing Gaza hostage/ceasefire negotiations, which Netanyahu has so far sabotaged, to allow for the extension of his slaughter to Palestinians residing in the West Bank, and for leveraging the possibility for war against Iran, into which Bibi believes he can draw the ineptly run United States. Sources say that there is enormous pressure now to get a Gaza deal concluded, despite the July 31 murder in Tehran of Hamas’ main negotiator Ismail Haniyeh by Bibi’s assassins.

Sources further report, that with the full backing of the leadership of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli intelligence chiefs, who are engaged in the negotiations, there is a deal on the table that Bibi must accept, “or the blame for what happens will squarely fall on his shoulders,” said a source. “He will not survive that, politically or otherwise.

The settlers and the crazies are not the only angry Israelis. Ordinary Israelis in general are tired of the war, and along with the relatives of the hostages, their anger is directed squarely against Netanyahu. The only way to stop the drive for a wider war by Bibi and Global NATO is to get a deal approved in the days ahead and put it in front of Bibi.”

Iran’s new President Masoud Pezeshkian, fresh from meetings with Russian President Valdimir Putin’s special envoy, Chairman of the Russian National Security Council and former Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, told French President Emmanuel Macron in a call Aug. 7 that if the U.S. and Western countries are truly seeking to prevent war, they must force Israel to stop the “genocide” in Gaza and secure a cease-fire, Iranian state media reported. The Élysée Palace said that Macron stressed to Pezeshkian that Iran has to call on the “destabilizing players it supports” to exercise the utmost restraint to avoid a conflagration.

“The deal could really happen, so Smotrich makes his lunatic comments,” the source continued, “on behalf of Bibi’s effort to extend the war. Even with the appointment of Bibi’s co-evil twin Yayah Sinwar as head of Hamas, the momentum is there to stop the fighting and reach a deal. Hamas military commanders are tired of fighting a war that they cannot win. Even revenge for the death of Haniyeh cannot change that assessment.”

Germany and France rejected Smotrich’s remark that starving two million Gazans “to death” would be "right and moral>" “It is a principle of international law and of humanity to protect civilians in war and to give them access to water and food,” a statement from the German Embassy in Israel said.

“The foundation of Bibi-ism is that occupation and annexation can continue undisturbed, that millions of Palestinians will miraculously capitulate and agree to live as humiliated subjects without rights under a military-settler dictatorship, and that the world will make its peace with Israel’s apartheid regime in the West Bank and with the tens of thousands killed in Gaza,” wrote Nir Hasson in Haaretz Aug. 7.  “This is a messianic delusion, detached from reality and from Zionism, and a perfect recipe for the fall of the State of Israel.”
