Source: If Bibi Thinks He Is Going to Push War with Iran, Don't Both Coming to Meet Trump

Dec. 22—In preparation for his trip to meet President Donald Trump in Florida next week, the Butcher of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, has planted stories in Zionist press sewers in the United States and Europe claiming that he is coming to seek authorization for new strikes on Iran, this time to take out its missile-building facilities.

Israeli officials cited in an NBC News report say that part of Bibi’s argument is expected to be that Iran’s actions present perils not only to Israel, but also to the broader region, including U.S. interests.

Several days ago, Yedioth Ahronoth ran a report which claims that Iran is obsessed with developing a “fourth generation nuclear weapon,” that is, a “fusion bomb” that does not depend on a fission trigger to detonate it. The Iranians have supposedly poured an enormous effort into the development of such a device but have yet to succeed. Other intelligence sources call the report “far-fetched nonsense.”

Strategic commentator Trita Parsi assesses that such demands from Netanyahu for attacks on Iran will never end until Trump puts a stop to them. “Israel’s military doctrine demands endless war. Not to achieve security, but to exercise dominance,” he writes.

White House Source: Trump Won’t Enter a New War

A source close to the White House responded to this by saying, “If Bibi thinks he’s coming to recruit Trump to a new war with Iran, he should not bother coming. Trump has already warned him against any action on Iran. As soon as he can deploy [Special Envoy] Steve [Witkoff] to the job, Trump intends to quickly negotiate, finally, the nuclear deal with Iran. Tehran has already privately communicated that they are ready to make a deal, and so are we.

“Look, Bibi knows why he has been summoned here by Trump,” said the source. “Bibi has been trying to undermine Trump’s Gaza peace plan. He has staged provocations in Gaza, killing disproportionate numbers of mostly civilians, retaliating against alleged Hamas attacks. The U.S. has concluded that there is no evidence to say that Hamas leadership ordered the alleged attacks. The Israeli actions threaten both the ceasefire and the quiet (and sometimes not so quiet) discussions about Hamas disarming, a key component of the next phase of the Trump plan.”

This and other sources report that Trump was enraged when last week Bibi authorized a strike that took out a Hamas leader, who Israel claimed was one of the masterminds of the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre attack on Israel. Trump reportedly called Bibi and told him to cut it out, or the U.S. would seek to sanction Israel for violating the terms of the ceasefire.

Trump to Confront Netanyahu Over Gaza, Settler Violence, and Sabotage

Bibi is going to have the riot act read to him in Florida, the White House source said, as they explain to him how the next phase of the Trump plan comes online. “There have been extensive discussions about the International Stabilization Force, and which nations will be allowed to participate, as well as who will be on the Board of Peace, which Trump will head, and which Bibi friend former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was removed from last week, after a month of ‘Tinny’ claiming that he was in charge of the next phase; Blair was not acceptable to the Arab world, which blames him for pushing a duped President George W. Bush to launch a war against Iraq in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack, which produced death and destruction in the region, which continues to this day.”

Trump also intends to hold Bibi accountable for the ongoing “settler” violence against Palestinians on the West Bank, which the President has denounced, and which Bibi says must stop, but does nothing to stop. Trump’s partners in Qatar, the Emirates, Egypt, and Turkey have told him that it will be impossible to move forward in Gaza without stopping the bloody attacks by the settlers, egged on and supported by members of Bibi’s government, especially Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

Also, Bibi almost succeeded in sabotaging a major meeting last week with the U.S. and its partners in the Peace Plan in Doha when the Israelis demanded that Turkey not participate. Trump overruled this stupid action, which provoked an angry response from Bibi.

Bibi’s Political Survival vs. Trump’s Peace Plan

“Trump has tolerated Bibi and his belligerent acts because he thought that the Prime Minister was a necessary, if not essential, player if the peace process is to be sold to Israelis,” said the source close to the White House. But now he sees that Bibi, who is on trial for several counts of corruption, is more concerned with his own political survival than peace—and the continuation of the war would contribute to his chances. Here, Trump provided Bibi with a way out—perhaps his only way to avoid jail—especially if his efforts to gut the Israeli judiciary fail as well. Trump has made a big pitch for Israeli President Herzog to grant the Prime Minister a pardon. But that is only a possibility if Bibi is convicted or otherwise admits his guilt. And there is really only support for a pardon if, as it is granted, Bibi also steps out of the political arena—which so far he has refused to do.

“Trump and his team are coming to the realization that now, it might be Bibi’s time to go,” the source said. “And you never know what Trump might say and do. He just might tell Bibi to be gone, to leave while he still can. You know, have a parade or something, and then retire. Trump, not Bibi or anyone else, is the most popular politician in Israel, having against all odds and against Bibi’s wishes, brought the hostages home. If Trump tells him to go, could Bibi really refuse?”
