Trump Fights to Preserve Ceasefire as Bibi Tries to Blow It Up
June 24—President Donald Trump, now en route to the NATO summit at the Hague, is working overtime to preserve the ceasefire that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin forced upon the leadership of Iran and its attacker—the government of Israel, led by its messianic Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu. The goal: to end the Israel-Iran war before it escalates into a wider regional conflict.
Israel Pushes the Boundaries of Truce
Sources report that despite claiming to have achieved their principal war aim—rendering Iran’s nuclear weapons program inert through the destruction of enrichment sites and much of its missile-strike capability—Netanyahu’s government was actively seeking loopholes to bypass the truce and continue its campaign to bomb Iran “back to the Stone Age.”
When reports emerged that Iran had launched a missile attack on Israel after the ceasefire, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that Israel would retaliate with a massive airstrike on Tehran.
Trump Intervenes, Airstrike Scaled Back
That strike occurred despite Trump’s earlier declaration on Truth Social that he had ordered Israel to cancel it—and that Israel had agreed. “All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!” Trump posted early this morning.
Expressing frustration with Israel’s response to what Iran told him was clearly a mistaken launch, Trump added: “Israel. Do not drop those bombs. If you do, it is a major violation. Bring your pilots home, now!”
Before boarding a helicopter to take him to his plane for his overseas flight, Trump told reporters he was “not happy” with either side for violating the truce—particularly with Israel, which he said had launched a heavy response to a single missile that “might have been unintentional.”
“I’ve got to get Israel to calm down now,” Trump said before departing the White House. He added that Iran and Israel had been fighting “so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.”
Putin’s Influence, Netanyahu’s Ambitions
Trump reportedly called Netanyahu and told him “to stop the shit,” according to a source close to the White House. Although Israeli officials claimed the strike was already underway and could not be stopped—a claim widely doubted—reports say the attack was scaled back, limited to an Iranian radar site outside Tehran.
“The President is no fool,” said a source with contacts in the region. “Iran has been told by Putin to end the war. Continuing it is clearly not in their interest, so there would be no reason to violate the ceasefire. There might be some people inside their command who didn’t like what happened and launched a few missiles. That appears to be what happened.

But Trump cut his balls off with a ceasefire he couldn’t refuse.”
