U.S. Weapon Sales to Ukraine Have Ceased

Feb. 22—Two members of Ukraine’s unicameral Verkhovna Rada have separately revealed that the United States has ceased all weapons sales to Ukraine. On Feb. 20, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence Roman Kostenko said that the sale of U.S. weapons to Ukraine had stopped, reported TASS.

Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko reported the same thing separately, writing on his Telegram channel: “Roman Kostenko’s statement yesterday is absolutely correct. This is confirmed to me by U.S. companies.”

Meanwhile Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s special envoy for the crimes of the Kiev regime, commented that the Trump Administration senses the “futility” to continue arming Ukraine. “The U.S. senses the futility of ‘military investments’ in Kiev. Why pay for nothing? The current U.S. administration does not see any corruption temptations in the ‘Ukrainian case.’ They are more interested in dealing with the corruption of their predecessors,” Miroshnik said in a statement on his Telegram channel. He pointed to the statement of Vice President J.D. Vance, who recognized that Russia has the upper hand militarily.
