Witkoff Huddles with Putin Envoy to Save Trump Peace plan from European Sabotage
Dec. 20—President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, along with Presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, will meet today and tomorrow with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev in Miami in an effort to get the Trump Ukraine peace initiative back on track after more than a week of sabotage by European leaders and their puppet Ukrainian dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Witkoff had met with the European leaders, led by German fool Chancellor Friederich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in Berlin, to explain to them the framework that Russia would work with to end NATO’s losing war in Ukraine, only to see these fools add things from their own plan that Russia had summarily rejected.
U.S.–Europe Divide Over Ending the War
As a source close to the White House reported yesterday, there is a basic divide between the United States and Europe. “The Europeans who provoked this war with their plans to include Ukraine in NATO’s expansion eastward want the war to continue,” said the source. “President Trump wants to end this senseless slaughter immediately, before Russia turns its military gains into a total defeat for Ukraine. Zelenskyy is likely to fall from power if the war is ended, so he is more than willing to follow NATO’s lead. These idiots still refuse to see that the war and their plans to wreck Russia—stupid and insane plans that were backed by the Biden administration—have been utterly defeated by the Russians.”
Trump and Putin, the source continued, agreed to a framework for peace at the August summit in Alaska, and NATO and Zelenskyy have tried to drift away from that framework—which means the war continues. But in the last weeks, Russia has made dramatic and decisive gains on the battlefield—meaning that the war will soon end in the defeat of Ukraine. Most experts say that despite continued NATO aid, the Ukrainians cannot recover from the blows being delivered or halt the Russian progress. People who report such truths in Germany, like the Swiss military analyst Jacques Baud, are censored and have charges brought against them.
European Sabotage Points Identified
Here are the key points of European sabotage, these sources report:
- Russia demands that Ukraine be a neutral nation, permanently banned from joining NATO, and that NATO halt all eastward expansion. The Europeans have allowed Zelenskyy to accept a temporary ban, with the possibility of future membership. The Russians will never accept this.
- Russia does not want any NATO or European troops stationed in Ukraine, for any reason. The Europeans have demanded that they be allowed in as peacekeepers, whose purpose is dubious, as Russians have said that once the fighting stops it will not start again.
- The Russians have demanded that the Ukrainian military be limited to defensive and police purposes and its size reduced to a number under 400,000. The Europeans demand that they be allowed to build up the Ukrainian military to its current level, which they claim is more than 800,000. The Russians will never accept this.
- The Russians say that there will be no reparations, that they will not be forced to pay for this war, and they want sanctions against them lifted according to a reasonable schedule, and all blocked and held funds in European banks returned to them. The Europeans believe that Russia should be forced to pay and have proposed to use the blocked funds for the reconstruction effort.
- The United States has offered security guarantees for both the Ukrainians and the Russians against the restart of any hostilities. The Europeans have demanded, with the Ukrainians doing the talking, that U.S. guarantees come in the form of a defense treaty, passed by the Senate, that would be the equivalent of NATO’s Article 5, which demands that all member nations come to the defense of any nation that is attacked. Both the Americans and the Russians have chafed at such a proposal.
- The U.S. and the Russians have agreed that Russia shall continue to control the land that it has taken in the four oblasts that are now part of the Russian Federation, and also the Crimea, which was annexed in 2014 after the Maidan overthrew the elected Ukrainian government. It has agreed to give back land it holds in other parts of Ukraine but also wants Ukraine to cede to it the remaining approximately 14% of the Donbas that it still holds. The Europeans have said that this area could be some kind of enterprise zone, and not be occupied by Russian troops, but nothing has been agreed. The Europeans have proposed the creation of various demilitarized zones bordering the occupied areas, which could assist the administration of a ceasefire that would go into effect when the peace plan is signed.
- There are to be elections held in Ukraine within 100 days of the signing of the agreement. These sources say that Trump would prefer that Zelenskyy not run for President in those elections.
Other items remain under discussion, including the massive reconstruction effort. The U.S. believes that it should cover the whole Ukrainian space, including the areas that are now part of the Russian Federation. The Europeans and Ukrainians have not agreed to that, nor is there any agreement on the size and scope of the effort, nor who would administer it.
Sources close to the White House report that Trump has lost all patience with the Europeans and their puppet Zelenskyy. In discussions with Witkoff, Trump, who will also be in Florida over this weekend, has said that he wants the U.S. and Russians to agree to a simplified version of his original 28-point plan. He would then move to ram that down the throats of the Europeans and Zelenskyy, allowing only minor modification. And, if they refuse to accept it, then Trump and the United States would walk away from everything, ceasing all forms of aid to Ukraine.
Weekend Talks Aim for Agreement and Possible Holiday Truce
As for this weekend’s meetings, it is expected that Witkoff and Dmitriev will look at all the proposals and see what can be agreed to immediately and then present that to Putin and Trump. Ideally, Trump would like to have some form of agreement in place before New Year’s Day. The sources report that there is also the possibility of a Holiday Truce that would be put in place immediately, while negotiations continue. This was reportedly also suggested to Zelenskyy by Pope Leo XIV.
The Europeans would be making a mistake if they think that Trump is just posturing about all this, said the source. “I would suggest that they read the NSS (National Security Strategy) document very carefully. It reflects the President’s view of the current European leadership. He is not fooling around.”
