Zelenskyy Meets With Trump, Who Sends Him Packing with Help from Putin

Oct. 18—For weeks the NATO propaganda machine poured out its dribble to unsuspecting populations about how its Ukrainian dictator was going to Washington to meet with President Donald Trump, who would give the little man the advanced long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles that he would hurl deep into Russia and bring Russian President Vladimir Putin to his knees. But by the time he arrived for his talks with Trump, he knew he would walk away with nothing, after Putin and Trump had talked by phone the day before.

But Zelenskyy did not expect what he got—sources report that the diminutive dictator not only was told he would not get Tomahawks, but that he should expect a new Trump Peace Plan for Ukraine, whose outlines would be gone over at a Trump-Putin summit in Budapest, Hungary, likely within the next two weeks. And, these sources report, Trump expected Zelenskyy to accept this outline and work out a deal with Putin to halt the fighting for good and start down the pathway toward peace. When Zelenskyy objected and said that Trump would have to get approval from his European controllers, Trump said he would take care of bringing them on board.

Trump’s Ultimatum and Peace Plan Framework

When Zelenskyy—who even came wearing a suit jacket after Trump's criticism of his slovenly dress in the now infamous dust-up with Trump in February, when the President ordered the disrespectful Ukrainian thrown out of the White House—objected, the President, sources report, made it clear in statements to him and the Ukrainian delegation that accompanied him at the private lunch that he expected what would come up to be "fine" with all concerned. This is a reference to what he had told a reluctant Butcher of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, during the negotiations on his Gaza Peace Plan: "If it is fine with me, it is fine with you--you don't have a choice."

Trump leaked a concept that will be the start of his new Plan to reporters after Zelenskyy left the White House: I told him. I told Putin. "The war stops right now. You halt all fighting at the lines in place, and you send your troops home."

Trump sources close to the White House report that Trump is not only building off the momentum of his success in the Middle East, but he has also decided to follow the same script: divide the Plan in phases, the first being to achieve its main goal—to halt the bloodshed, which he claims is killing 10,000, mostly soldiers, a week. This is not just a ceasefire at the present military lines, but a halt to all military activity on both sides, including Russian air and drone attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and related targets, and similar attacks on targets inside Russia by Ukraine. Ukraine could continue to be resupplied by NATO through its purchase of U.S.-made weapons and munitions, but munitions could not be transported to the front lines, nor could either side reinforce its position.

Neutrality for Ukraine and Sanctions Relief for Russia

According to these sources, Russia would agree to allow Ukraine to join the European Union, but Ukraine needs to renounce plans for membership in NATO, declaring its neutrality.

In exchange for Russian agreement to the Plan, many if not all sanctions will be removed from Russia and countries trading with Russia, with any remaining sanctions removed as the plan is implemented.

There would be a peacekeeping force made up of non-NATO nations deployed to police the ceasefire, its composition the subject of discussion between the parties, including the United States as mediator, with Special Envoy Steve Witkoff handling the lead job in this.

Security Guarantees and Territorial Status Quo

Sources report that, in answer to concerns coming from various quarters, Putin will sign on to a declaration that Russia has no further intentions of attacking or invading Ukraine, nor does it have any intention of attacking NATO members or anyone else in Europe. Trump will ask NATO to sign a reciprocal agreement that it will not attack Russia or any other non-NATO European state, nor will it seek any further NATO memberships of countries bordering Russia.

Zelenskyy had demanded, backed by his European sponsors, membership in NATO as protection against what he claims would be further Russian aggression under Article 5 of the NATO charter. Trump is considering giving Ukraine and Russia both a guarantee against future attacks by Executive Order, similar to what he gave Qatar earlier this month.

The initial agreement will not deal with the thorny issue of territorial concessions by Ukraine and Russia, but Trump has stated that such concessions will take place during negotiations. The resulting agreement, these sources say, will not force Ukraine to formally concede portions of its territory, which it cannot do without Constitutional amendment, but it will allow them to remain under Russian control, and Ukraine will state that it will not seek to reclaim them by military means.

The Trump Ukraine plan will lay out the groundwork for the rebuilding of the Ukraine, in which many nations will contribute to the reconstruction plans, in which Ukraine will have the major role in approving such plans, which Trump wants to get underway, as soon as the fighting stops and the other details are signed off on by the two warring parties.

The sources report that Trump is considering setting up something like the "Board of Peace" that he has overseeing the Gaza Peace deal, which he or one of his emissaries would head. He is said to be concerned as to who would determine what violates the agreement; in the Gaza plan, that person is Donald Trump.

Putin Agrees to Trump Plan for Ceasefire

Trump discussed his thinking with Putin in their 2 plus hour phone call Oct. 16. Putin, sources report, was very receptive to the idea of Ukraine peace plan and will discuss the many details in the coming summit. "The President sees a ceasefire in place coming out of that meeting," said the source. "Putin reportedly agreed to it for the first time.

"Did the Tomahawk discussion play a role in getting to this point?" the source said. "Perhaps, but the Russians had already been told that Trump had no intention of giving them to the unstable Zelenskyy, as long as Putin was committed to ending the war, which despite all the back and forth in the media speculating on his oft-stated frustration with the Russian leader, he was far more frustrated with Zelenskyy's refusal to accept the battlefield condition. He cannot win the war or reclaim what has lost, despite a strange tweet that Trump had made that seemed to imply something different. Trump wants the war solved by diplomacy."

Bibi and Zelenskyy Are Similar

This and other sources pointed to the similarity in precarious political positions of Netanyahu and Zelenskyy, and that both might want the war to continue so that they don't have to yield power. They also state that Netanyahu already faces corruption charges in court, and there have been strong allegations from Zelenskyy's opposition that he might soon face similar charges, should the war end, for allowing people in his government to steal literally billions in aid money sent to the Ukraine, including by the United States. It is also widely suspected that Zelenskyy has turned the Ukraine into the world's largest arms bazaar, where terrorists and drug dealers can purchase, often through third parties, American weapons and munitions. It is also reported that Zelenskyy has used American funds to pay for members of the drug cartels to fight for the Ukraine, to replenish depleted manpower on the front lines.

All these reports have reached Trump, and if Zelenskyy refuses to go along with an agreed upon plan, he might threaten or actually initiate a full investigation into how Ukraine uses all American aid, including cash, as he once threatened deploy Elon Musk's DOGE operation to do.

NATO Media Reacts to Trump’s Peace Push

All this has sent the NATO propaganda machine into a tizzy. After days of fake news reporting about how Zelenskyy was going to the White House to get his Tomahawks, the Anglo-press sewer Reuters led its report on the meeting as follows: "Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy came to the White House on Friday looking for weapons to keep fighting his country's war with Russia, but met an American president who appears more intent on brokering a peace deal than upgrading Ukraine's arsenal."

They were also forced to report what Trump told reporters as he left the White House for his Florida resort: "After speaking with Zelenskiy for more than two hours, Trump implored both Ukraine and Russia to 'stop the war immediately,' even if it means Ukraine conceding territory.

"'You stop at the battle line, and both sides should go home, go to their families,' Trump told reporters on his way to his home in West Palm Beach, Florida. 'Stop the killing. And that should be it. Stop right now at the battle line. I told that to President Zelenskiy. I told it to President Putin.'

"Trump's move to re-engage with Putin, a strategy that has frustrated Zelenskiy and some European allies in the past, cast a shadow on the U.S. president's otherwise cordial exchange with his Ukrainian counterpart as they spoke with reporters ahead of a private lunch.

"'I think President Zelenskiy wants it done, and I think President Putin wants it done. Now all they have to do is get along a little bit,' Trump told reporters."

Trump’s Strategy: Shuttle Diplomacy in Motion

Trump did not premise any deal on Zelenskyy meeting with Putin. The NATO press sewers have claimed that it is Putin holding up such a meeting, but sources now report that Trump agrees that Zelenskyy's refusal to agree to any agenda "is a real hangup," a source close to the White House stated.

So now Trump is apparently set to do some Kissinger-style shuttle diplomacy: First he will meet and get agreement from Putin; then he will take that agreement and bring it to Zelenskyy. Once they have agreed on something, he could then set up a meeting between the two, with Trump and his team as mediators.

Beyond Ukraine: Trump and Putin Discuss Broader Cooperation

The source close to the White House said the discussion with Putin went far beyond ending the war in Ukraine. Trump, the source said, "is looking over the horizon to when normalized relations and cooperation on a whole range of issues is possible. We are already moving towards nuclear arms reduction treaties and to cooperation on dealing with Iran's nuclear program, on which Putin continues to offer help. And working together on economic development projects in the Arctic and, for example, in building a tunnel across the Bering Strait which would join Russia to the U.S. This was discussed in Alaska, and it was brought up again in the phone call."

Trump was asked by reporters to respond to the proposal from Putin's trusted envoy and his Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, Kirill Dmitriev, for Elon Musk and his tunneling business, the Boring Company, to build an undersea rail tunnel through the Bering Strait. He playfully responded: “That’s an interesting one. We’ll have to think about that. I hadn’t heard that.”

Next to him when the question was asked, a visibly upset Zelenskyy, asked for his thoughts, said: “I am not very happy about the prospect of building a tunnel that connects the Russian Federation and the United States."
