Zelenskyy, NATO Continue Sabotage of Trump Peace Initiative
Dec. 16—NATO’s Ukrainian dictator Volodymyr Zelenskyy huddled with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner for more than 10 hours over the last two days, ostensibly to search for common ground that might move the Trump peace plan for Ukraine forward. After the meetings, the NATO media propaganda machine spun stories that Zelenskyy had “accepted” that Ukraine would not join NATO for now, making what was termed a “major concession.” But sources close to the White House say what Zelenskyy agreed to was a chimera that would never fly in Moscow, and that the Ukrainian dictator, backed by his European controllers, continues to put forward positions which will make any deal impossible.
Witkoff and Kushner are also meeting and hearing from the European leaders.
These and other sources say that the Russians have been quite clear about what must be included in the framework of the peace deal, and Ukraine and NATO have chosen to ignore these terms, seeking their modification. With the Ukrainian military losing badly on the battlefield, the Russians are not going to compromise further, as Ukraine is no more than a month or two from total defeat, according to military experts. Trump’s intention is to create a pathway for a stable peace, and an end to NATO’s ability to force war and confrontation with Russia, while saving the hundreds of thousands of lives that would be needlessly lost by continuing the battle.
Framework From Alaska Summit
The framework for an agreement, established in talks between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Alaska summit in August, has been agreed to by the United States. The terms were incorporated into the 28-point peace plan issued two months ago, which was labelled by the neo-con press sewers as a “Russian plan,” and which Zelenskyy has called “total surrender.” Its key elements, which must be the centerpiece of any agreement, are:
- Ukraine cannot join NATO, not now or ever, and the Ukrainian constitution must be amended to make Ukraine a “neutral” country. Zelenskyy, in his talks with Witkoff, has only agreed to give up his NATO ambitions “for now,” holding open the possibility of membership in the future.
- The size of Ukraine’s military must be limited to 600,000 or less. Zelenskyy has agreed in principle to limitation but wants the number set at its current level.
- The Russians will be ceded the land that they hold—the Crimea and the four Oblasts that have become part of the Russian Federation—while Ukraine will give up the territory it still holds in the Donbas, while the Russians will give back other areas they hold. Ukraine has indicated a willingness to discuss this but predicates such discussion on a ceasefire along the contact lines. Russia and the United States have both said that while the agreement will end hostilities, the discussion is not to be predicated on any ceasefire in place. Russia will be allowed to maintain its forces in areas under its control and will withdraw from all other areas.
- There will be no assignation of responsibility for starting the war and there will be no reparations paid by Russia. Here Zelenskyy and his European backers demand that the $350 billion in seized Russian funds in the Euroclear bank be used for reconstruction as a form of reparations.
- Laws that prohibit the use of the Russian language and the free operation of the Russian Orthodox Church must be repealed. Zelenskyy has never declared his agreement to this.
- The United States and perhaps another power will provide security guarantees for the agreement, which will act to prevent future aggressive behavior by both sides. Ukraine has demanded that these guarantees come in the form of a military alliance treaty with the United States, which would have the same force as Article 5 of the NATO charter, compelling the U.S. to defend Ukraine from Russian attack. The Russians have already said that this would be unacceptable because it would violate the principle that Ukraine must be neutral. Russia has offered to sign a non-aggression pact with both Ukraine and the European Union/NATO.
European Interference and Sabotage
“There are many details about the implementation of this framework that can be negotiated,” said a source, “but the basic terms of the framework, as already agreed to by Putin and Trump, are not going to change. And that is what Zelenskyy, and the Europeans are trying to change. And that is delaying and sabotaging an agreement.
“The original discussions with the Russians made progress precisely because Trump excluded the Europeans from the table,” said the source. “Now, we find these posturing fools sitting next to Zelenskyy trying to dictate the terms of an agreement. They want to punish the Russians, who are winning the war that the Russians never wanted to fight, but were forced into fighting by NATO. And NATO’s goals had little to do with Ukraine—they were using it as a battlefield in a ploy to destroy Russia. This gambit has failed miserably. And the Russians won’t accept punishment.”
Corruption Scandals and Ouster Plans
This and other sources say that the White House is not going to tolerate the Zelenskyy/NATO sabotage and that the solution is to find a Ukrainian leadership that is not tethered to NATO like Zelenskyy and his cronies. That search, sources report, is already underway. And even as that takes place, sources report that the White House could be preparing to grease the slide for Zelenskyy’s ouster, using the ongoing corruption scandals as leverage.
“Everyone in Ukraine believes the Zelenskyy government to be corrupt,” sources say. “The current scandal is a mere drop in the bucket compared to what the Americans can bring to the table. Zelenskyy and his crony Yermak, who was recently forced out of his powerful post as Chief of the Presidential Office, have run the world’s largest black market arms bazaar, selling American weapons and munitions to anyone who has the cash, including terrorists and drug cartels. Trump is prepared to ask for a full accounting of all provided to Ukraine. They will offer Zelenskyy a get out of jail card if he signs the peace deal, as dictated by the White House, and refuses to run in the new Presidential elections, slated for early next year under the terms of the deal.”
Ukraine’s ambassador to the U.S., Olga Stefanishina, confirmed that their National Security and Defense Council head Rustem Umerov, during his recent trips to Florida to negotiate with Steve Witkoff, had also met several times with FBI Director Kash Patel and his Deputy Director Dan Bongino. She told the Washington Post, which broke the story, that the meetings “only covered issues related to national security” that could not be disclosed publicly. She provided no other details.
However, an FBI official acknowledged to the Post that corruption was discussed. “Will Zelenskyy get the message?” asked the source. “NATO can’t protect him. Trump can.”
