Jan. 22—Russian President Vladimir Putin sent an open message to President Donald Trump two days ago, hours before he was to be inaugurated, that he was ready to negotiate the peace deal to end NATO’s losing war against Russia using Ukrainian bodies. Putin held a special meeting of his Security Council Jan. 20, inauguration day for Trump, to make his comments for the world and for the incoming President and his staff to hear. The Security Council normally meets on Fridays.
Putin opened the meeting with the following:
“We observe that the newly elected President of the United States and his team have expressed a desire to re-establish direct contact with Russia, which the outgoing Administration had severed, through no fault of our own. Furthermore, we note his remarks on the necessity of doing everything possible to avert a third world war. Naturally, we welcome this stance and extend our congratulations to the President-elect of the United States of America on his inauguration.”
The night before, speaking to a rally of his MAGA supporters, Trump had declared as his highest priority ending all wars and conflicts, which he said were the legacy of the Biden Administration, and which had put the world on path toward World War III. “You don’t realize how close we are to World War III,” he warned his followers. “We are very close. I will change that.”
“I wish to emphasize that we have never declined dialogue and have always been prepared to sustain amicable and cooperative relations with any American administration, as I have reiterated on numerous occasions,” Putin said in his opening remarks the next day. “We operate under the premise that the dialogue will be established on an equal and mutually respectful foundation, acknowledging the significant roles our nations play on several vital global issues, including the enhancement of strategic stability and security.
“We are also open to dialogue with the new U.S. Administration concerning the Ukrainian conflict,” Putin continued. “The primary focus here should be addressing the root causes of the crisis, which we have discussed extensively. Concerning the resolution of the situation itself, I would like to reiterate that its objective should not be a temporary ceasefire or a pause to re-group forces and re-arm for the eventual continuation of the conflict, but rather a lasting peace founded on respect for the legitimate interests of all individuals and peoples residing in this region. Nonetheless, we will steadfastly advocate for the interests of Russia and the Russian people. This, in essence, is the purpose and meaning of the Special Military Operation.”
Trump’s people took these statements as an open indication “that Putin wants to give Trump a chance to make a deal, and get that bloody war over with,” said a source with contact with the Trump White House. “Putin realizes that Trump has to fight the NATO establishment, which props up that sock puppet dictator [Ukraine’s self-proclaimed President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy and wants to continue the war to bleed Russia.
“Trump believes,” said the source, “and his people have told him, that Putin is also under pressure from inside the ruling apparatus in Russia to get the war over with. While no one officially says this, the Russian economy cannot continue to absorb the cost of the war, which has already resulted in massive distortions and the creation of a mountain of debt to cover the more than $1.5 billion dollars a day that it costs to keep on fighting. Trump thinks that Putin will be willing to make some concessions on land, perhaps adjusting the borders of the four oblasts that voted to join the Russian Federation, in order to make a deal more palatable to the Ukrainians. But, in guaranteeing the peace deal, Trump fully accepts that there will be no NATO involvement and NATO membership for Ukraine. The responsibility for that guarantee will fall mostly on the U.S., and perhaps China.
Where NATO will likely come in, is with a lot of the money for Ukraine’s reconstruction. The Russians will pay some also, as will some other nations. Here is where China can help big time. Trump has stated recently that he wants China more involved in this peace process, not just making statements and proposing decent plans, but come across with money and also stand as a peace guarantor. He may have already brought this up with Chinese [President] Xi [Jinping]. Putin would accept this; Zelenskyy had better.
“Trump will talk independently with Putin and Xi,” said the source. “And when they have an outline to agree on, he will bring them together and hammer something out. Trump does not want this to take a long time.
“Meanwhile, Trump’s taking over as President has, for the time being, taken World War III off the agenda,” said the source. “The only purpose in the use of the American-made and -controlled ATACMS missile systems against Russia, is to provoke Putin into striking back, not against Ukraine, but against NATO or even U.S. assets, since Putin holds us accountable for their use. But that warning was for the Biden—or rather, the Harris Administration and the collection of lunatics pushing this war with Russia policy. Putin has not retaliated for the ATACMS use because he has been waiting for Trump’s move. The word is that he has told Zelenskyy, ‘basta!’ if you know what’s good for you. Putin has been told this through the Trump-renewed channels of communication. The word is that Trump intends to talk with Putin by phone in the next several days. He is already speaking, indirectly, with Zelenskyy."
Much was made today in the pro-NATO press around the world about a posting this morning on Trump's Truth Social account where the President had some "tough" words for Putin. Trump warned his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine quickly, or else face “high levels of taxes, tariffs and sanctions.”
"Settle now and STOP this ridiculous War! IT’S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE,” Trump urged. “If we don’t make a ‘deal,’ and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries,” he wrote.
“Let’s get this war, which never would have started if I were President, over with! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way — and the easy way is always better,” he added. “It’s time to “MAKE A DEAL.” NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!!”
The tough talk received immediate praise from the various clueless world leaders assembled at the Davos Economic Conference, including from NATO puppet, Zelenskyy who claimed that it showed that Trump would not sell out the Ukraine. Other more sanguine sources said that this was precisely the effect he intended. The words were spoken to Putin, but they were meant, as the source stated for the "NATO peanut gallery to show that the deal that will be struck will be fair and on Trump's timetable. Putin understands what Trump is doing. He is trying to create a safe space for the negotiation. But only a fool would think that it isn't going to be the Ukraine that is going to have to concede territory, as well as any hope for NATO membership to get this thing to end.
“Putin has already told the world that he accepts that there is a new sheriff in town, Donald Trump,” the source concluded. “And that he will play ball with him. I expect things to move relatively quickly now.”
