Luke Marzec’s new single, “I Can’t Get You Out of My Mind”, is a stunning showcase of artistry that fuses nostalgia, modernity, and raw emotion. With a retro yet innovative sound, this track sets the stage for Marzec’s highly anticipated debut album, Something Good Out Of Nothing. Seamlessly blending the spiky, jazz-infused verses reminiscent of Amy Winehouse with dreamy, reflective choruses, Marzec’s unique style reflects his evolution as a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer-songwriter.

A Journey Through Nostalgia and Innovation

Marzec’s album, Something Good Out Of Nothing, is an exploration of nostalgia, passion, and the paradoxes of modern life. Known for his eclectic soundscapes and reflective lyricism, Marzec bridges the warmth of the past with the precision of contemporary electronic music. Drawing inspiration from the soulful textures of Motown and the raw energy of experimental sound design, he employs tools like the Prophet synth and Morphagene sampler to reimagine classic sounds for today’s listeners. “This album is about holding onto the old while stepping into the new,” Marzec explains, highlighting its unique dialogue between vintage authenticity and digital-age realities.

An Artist of Depth and Versatility

Marzec’s music journey has been shaped by his formal training in classical and jazz styles at the Royal College of Music and Trinity Conservatoire. Since his breakout debut EP Chances in 2017, he has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Maverick Sabre, VC Pines, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, and Jazzanova. His partnership with Johannes Brecht on Voicing Something further solidified his reputation, particularly through the widely praised Adriatique remix. Beyond his solo projects, Marzec pushes musical boundaries with Headroom, a London-based jam session featuring top jazz and electronic musicians, and Lazy H and the Loose Cables, an experimental synth-jazz group celebrated for their avant-garde soundscapes.

An Intimate and Expansive Vision

Written during a summer retreat in the woods, “I Can’t Get You Out of My Mind” captures the emotional turbulence of a breakup while blending funk, soul, and jazz into a single captivating groove. The natural world serves as a powerful influence on Marzec’s work. “The countryside is where I reflect on life’s essentials—love, friendship, adventure,” he says. In contrast, the vibrancy and chaos of city life fuel his creative energy. This balance between the serene and the chaotic is woven into the album’s broader exploration of the human condition, capturing the coexistence of hope and despair, sincerity and cynicism.

A Promise of Resonance and Reflection

Luke Marzec’s debut album promises to be a poignant reflection on the beauty of life’s contradictions. His music invites listeners to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what it means to live authentically in a rapidly changing world. “I Can’t Get You Out of My Mind” is not just a song—it’s an experience that bridges the personal with the universal, the historic with the contemporary, and the emotional with the cerebral.

With Side A of Something Good Out Of Nothing set to release on March 28, 2025, and Side B following in the summer, Luke Marzec’s artistry is poised to captivate audiences worldwide. Speir celebrates this remarkable talent and eagerly anticipates the impact his music will have on the global stage.
