Kiev’s 2014 Euromaidan Coming to Tbilisi, Georgia This Fall?

BREAKING NEWS PART ONE: This represents some courageous reporting, in the face of threats from both Kyiv and the U.S. Administration to not allow such things to be said or circulated. We present them for you to think about, knowing that this is the only place you might find them.

Kiev’s 2014 Euromaidan Coming to Tbilisi, Georgia This Fall?

Sept. 21, 2023 (EIRNS)—The state security service (SUS) of the nation of Georgia stated on Sept. 18 that the country faces the threat of violent unrest orchestrated by the inner circle of former President Mikhail Saakashvili. The SUS states that the coup plotters plan, in the next one to three months, to “violently change” the Georgian government, using Ukraine’s 2014 Maidan coup as a model.

They cite as a likely trigger an upcoming EU report rejecting Georgia’s candidacy: “The expectation of the conspirators… is… that the published conclusion would be negative.” They would use this as “fertile ground for public unrest.”

The SUS names Mamuka Mamulashvili, the founder and head of Ukraine’s infamous “Georgian Legion” — the “Azov Battalion” before there was an “Azov Battalion.” It was founded from Mamulashviili’s recruitment of Georgian snipers for a special mission on Kiev’s Maidan in February 2014, to set the Berkut police and the demonstrators violently against each other, by deliberately shooting at both sides from afar. (See separate slug.) Their ruthless provocateur operation destroyed the peace agreement negotiated by Ukraine’s elected government of Yanukovych and the leaders of the demonstrators. Mamulashvili’s Georgian Legion deployed from there into the Donbass. He is noted in the last year for refusing to take Russian military prisoners and, instead, simply executing them. He has stated as much, as there is video evidence that he meant what he stated.

Mamulashvili had been the head of security for Georgia’s former head of state Mikhail Saakashvili. The two deployed to Kiev and the Maidan, and Saakashvili evidently assigned Mamulashvili to recruit a team of snipers from members of their security force back in Tbilisi. Also named by the SUS as a conspirator in the upcoming planned coup in Georgia is Giya Lordkipanidze, a former deputy interior minister in Saakashvili’s government, who took over as the deputy head of Ukrainian military intelligence in 2022.

The SUS report claims that the conspirators are receiving “coordination and financial support” from “foreign countries” and they have set up a training camp for Georgian youth on the border between Ukraine and Poland to prepare them for a potentially violent “revolutionary scenario.” The SUS cited, among other tactics, their occupying the Georgian capital Tbilisi with tent camps, using barricades around government buildings, and detonating bombs against civilians to spark clashes with police — a “Euromaidan 2.0” — designed to further embroil Russia on its borders. Such an operation may be the only way for the “permanent war” crowd to try to continue their attempt to strategically break Russia, if Ukraine’s ‘counteroffensive’ should drain the country faster than expected.
