Feb. 19—Yesterday, Presidents Day in the United States, the International Court of Justice began a six-day investigation. They are hearing a United Nations General Assembly request for an Advisory from the court regarding “Israeli practices affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People in the Occupied Territory, including East Jerusalem.” Though this differs from and precedes the action brought against Israel by South Africa on January 26, regarding the October 7 Hamas attack of last year, the intention of both actions is the same. Both seek to force the world to stop the massacre and deportation of 2 million people from Gaza, as Israel simultaneously illegally annexes (700,000 “settlers” on in the West Bank) and depopulates, in the name of the “ancient rule of law” reminiscent of the imperial law enforced by the very Roman Empire that destroyed Judaea and razed the Temple in 70 AD.One properly-voiced phone call by the American President could, as has been demonstrated by Presidents Eisenhower and Reagan in the past, reverse the crime against humanity now underway in Southwest Asia. Instead, the role played by the United States Presidency, the most powerful executive institution in the world is, in this instance, most shameful. The Presidency once administered by Washington, the commander of the Revolutionary Army; by Abraham Lincoln, the central commander in the 1861-65 American War Against the Secession; and by Franklin Delano Roosevelt, head of the most powerful military force in the history of the world from 1941 until his death in 1945, has failed to act with justice towards the people of Gaza, the West Bank, the United States and the world. There was an American that would have acted, had he been elected President, to have eliminated the possibility that the circumstance confronting the world in Gaza now could have even arisen. Lyndon LaRouche, in his very first of eight campaigns for the United States Presidency, pivoted his entire campaign on the idea of restoring equity to the world through the creation of an International Development Bank, a proposal which had first been presented to various leaders, including from Israel, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and other nations in April of 1975. A later version of this original proposal was called “The Oasis Plan.” Now, a new video on the LaRouche Oasis Plan has been released, and a way must be found to ensure that a million-plus persons see that video and consider its implications for arriving both at an immediate, as well as a durable long-term blueprint for a just and prosperous peace, not only between Israelis and Palestinians, but also a peace that provokes the dismantling of Anglo-American killer operations in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan—Southwest Asia, the theater of operations for British intelligence agent Bernard Lewis, and his epigones, Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and Samuel P. “Clash of Civilizations” Huntington. The latter were all enemies of Presidential candidate LaRouche. There was good reason. About them, LaRouche said in a January 24, 2002 webcast: "You have a group in the United States, which have gathered around large institutions, powerful financial institutions … which have gathered around people like Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Samuel P. Huntington, and others. These people, with certain military figures included, set forth a policy in the 1950s, which is what Eisenhower and MacArthur warned against. It was called, in that time, a ‘utopian’ military policy. The idea was to set up an American-dominated, Anglo-American world empire, like the Roman Empire, based on the so-called professional soldier.“Now, if you read the books and articles and discussions that these crumb-bums (if you want to give them the right name) have written, their policy is to eliminate the nation-state, set up a Roman-style world empire, under their rule, and create a military force, which, in point of fact, is modeled immediately on the Nazi Waffen-SS from the end of World War II: that is, troops recruited from all kinds of nations into a force, as a killer-force, to conduct perpetual war, just like the Waffen-SS. So, these guys are real Nazis. These are the utopians. These people are associated, as the H. Smith Richardson Foundation, and the Olin Institute and so forth, the American Enterprise Institute, and so on and so on—they are associated with wealthy financier institutions of the same type, from the United States, and from London, who put Hitler into power in Germany in 1933-1934, who made World War II inevitable. This is the enemy! It is the enemy within, and the enemy without is of minor significance compared to the enemy within.” [Emphasis in original.]Note the recent alarming revelation supplied by journalist Tucker Carlson (whose interview with Vladimir Putin may turn out to be the most watched interview in history, with now well over a billion views), that the intelligence agencies of the United States prevented and blockaded him from conducting that interview for three years. Now, consider: if Carlson had in fact conducted that interview in 2021, and the American people and others would have heard, directly from Putin, what he actually thought at that time, would it still have been possible to mislead the Anglosphere into supporting the “Russia-Ukraine war,” and its NATO-wide “financial nuclear war”—a war which may now extend to the stealing from Russia of $300 billion in assets?Of course, the Global South has no such illusion about “the war between the democracies and the autocracies.” Brazilian President Lula has made that clear as recently as his trip to the African continent, his consultations with Egypt, and his speeches at the African Union summit in Addis Ababa. The tiny nation of Yemen is now about to be confronted by a European-wide naval action against it—apparently the United States and Britain were not enough—and Africa and Asia, China and Russia note what is happening. There is a difference between force and power. In New York City this past Sunday, Feb. 18, an international gathering took action to defend and to activate the American Presidency for the General Welfare. New York Independent candidate for the United States Senate Diane Sare, and Independent candidate for New York’s 15th Congressional District, José Vega, gathered just under 300 supporters of their campaigns, in a meeting that featured speakers and participants from Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, and several U. S.states. This was the actual composition of what originally founded the United States, and, on the eve of the 250th anniversary of its revolutionary birth, it is important to recall this. The United States is not, even now, that against which it fought its own revolution. The nation, however, suffers from a fear-induced amnesia about what the duties—not rights, but duties—of each citizen are. When the institutions of self-government and their leaders fail, the American Declaration of Independence requires the American citizen to intervene to “alter or to abolish” the wrongful course of his government’s actions, and the “long train of abuses” that threaten the life, liberty and happiness of the citizens of this, or any other nation. The people of the United States cannot enjoy their inalienable rights, if their institutions of government are willfully and with malice either committing, enabling, or allowing the mass execution of members of another sovereign nation or people. To regain one’s inalienable rights, it is necessary to perform one’s inalienable duties. To end the present injustice, we can begin by circulating the proposal designed by the late United States Presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche, called “ the Oasis Plan,” for a durable solution to the unnecessary fratricidal conflict in Southwest Asia, or if you prefer its British colonial conferred “slave name,” “the Middle East.” The mass circulation, especially by youth, of the Oasis Plan, can, at this moment, literally save lives in Gaza. This must be accompanied by interventions upon a United States Congress that is hostage to its own spectacular corruption, through lobbyists and “Anthony Weiner-style” blackmail. This must be accompanied by street actions, “teach-ins” involving from 3-5 people to an entire campus, using the 15-minute video as the catalyst for discussion. This must be supplemented by resolutions passed by city councils and state legislatures, and by “naming the names” of the individuals associated with the companies, banks, cartels and military institutions, promoting and profiting from war. This includes the “secret government” compost heap of think tanks, foundations and international conferences, “the brightest guys in the room,” who, “Enron-style,” have brought the nation to the brink of destruction. As the United States stands just over one year from the 250th anniversary of its Revolutionary birth, no candidates, other than the Independent candidacies of New York Senate candidate Diane Sare and New York Congressional candidate José Vega, are even discussing that fact. The reason is that others, no matter what their apparent station, are choosing to avoid walking in the shadow of responsibility cast by the Founders of this nation. That responsibility is to the future as history, the future expressed in the “Ten Principles for a New International Security and Development Architecture” composed by International Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche. Let us, then, agree to walk within the shadow of our forgotten ancestors, and repair and redeem ourselves, by choosing to courageously remember the real American Presidency and the cause for which this nation was born.

Feb. 16—First, bit by bit, and now, chunk by chunk, the cocoon of the clueless is being dismantled. The scales are beginning to fall from the eyes, and the minds, of the people of the trans-Atlantic world. Now, dimly, they can begin to see the real picture of “King Dorian Gray”—Charles of England, and the other, equally decadent “principalities and powers”—with all of their vices, depravity, and sin written in the lines of their faces, as well as in the speeches, vetoes and bills placed before congresses and parliaments, designed and deployed to continue their ritual mass murder of the innocent, in Gaza and worldwide, in the name of the rule of law. Ireland and Spain, Türkiye and Egypt, virtually the entirety of Africa, and even Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are calling for no siege/assault in Rafah. The Hindustan Times reported, “The African Union reportedly prevented an Israeli delegation from entering its headquarters in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa on Wednesday [Feb. 14]…. The Israeli delegation was reportedly supposed to present its point of view regarding the war in Gaza.” South Africa’s Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor, who spoke outside of that gathering, said of the ongoing criminal actions: “We believe this confirms the allegations we’ve tabled before the ICJ, that genocide is underway in the Palestinian territories, in the occupied territories—clearly the actions of the Israeli government prove that what we’ve said is actually accurate.”Don’t, through electoral and other distractions, miss the true drama of this “world moment.” Right now, not only is the whole world watching Gaza; the whole world is rapidly becoming aware that there is another solution available, without war. If Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin’s statement, made at the beginning of his interview yesterday with President Vladimir Putin—“Mr. President, your interview with Tucker Carlson has already garnered 1 billion views”—is actually correct, it would mean that since last Thursday, Feb. 8, within one week, the psychological border, the “Russiagate”-driven electronic media fence painstakingly erected around “war criminal” and “madman” Vladimir Putin, has been breached; the knowledge of his actual proposals for peace and a negotiated settlement ending the Ukraine war, has become known to the clueless. This implies that the influence of the once-dominant “mainstream media,” given the right combination of successful initiatives by insurgent forces, can be dislodged, and even be brought down—like the Berlin Wall—should we intelligently act. This is the happy, but transient circumstance, in which the video “The Oasis Plan—LaRouche’s Solution for the Middle East,” and the International Schiller Institute’s “Ten Principles for a New International Security and Development Architecture,” can reach cumulative circulations above 1 million. The International Peace Coalition process begun by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, and the “Ten Principles” method upon which that process is conceptually based, has positioned us to catalyze such an expanded, as well as expansive dialogue. If everyone who truly wants to see an end to the Gaza genocide is caused, through our vigorous circulation of the video and the “Ten Principles,” to conclude that there can be no end to this “Middle East” nightmare without introducing a just, durable solution into this most-manipulated of geopolitical conflicts, one that is clearly in the mutual interests of all the parties involved, then we will have the power to make peace occur. It is the power of Reason, deployed in the spirit of the 18th-Century pamphleteer campaigns of Tom Paine’s Common Sense and The Federalist Papers, and appropriating the 21st-Century’s electronic communication means for this purpose, which is our “secret” weapon. Wielded simultaneously by many across the world, in the context of the newly-emerging drive, led by the BRICS and other nations, for what Lincoln called “a new birth of freedom,” our ideas can bring down the walls of silence, acquiescence, and accommodation, through the certain trumpet of Reason, Love—and the LaRouche Science of Physical Economy.

Feb. 7—Talk show host Tucker Carlson announced yesterday that he was in Moscow to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that it was enormously important, because the entire world system is being wholly transformed and the truth about the nature of the transformation is being withheld from the public. Not only has the war in Ukraine led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and depopulated the largest country in Europe, but also the sanctions have upended the entire world economic and financial system. The post-World War II world is coming apart, he said, and most Americans have no idea of what is really going on. These developments will shape the world for our children and grandchildren, and most people in the English-speaking world are not aware of the implications. Therefore, Carlson, who was fired from Fox News, despite having the number one rated news commentary show on television right after he broadcast an interview with the former Capitol Police chief, who claimed that the so-called insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021 was orchestrated and infiltrated with federal agents, decided that he must interview the Russian leader. He had attempted to do this earlier, he noted, but it was sabotaged by the Biden authorities who didn’t want it to happen. They attempted again this time, but he decided to go to Moscow anyway. Carlson also said that he had put in a request to interview Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Most of Zelenskyy’s previous “interviews” were simply government-supported calls for U.S. support to the war in Ukraine. He has of yet received no response from the Ukraine's NATO puppet President. The car that was carrying Tucker Carlson on his foray in Moscow was seen Feb. 6 leaving the Presidential Administration buildings and loading camera equipment in the car. While Western media have largely boycotted Putin’s statements and speeches, an interview with the Russian leader by the controversial former Fox commentator will be widely watched. Something of a “media frenzy” has erupted, both in the West and in Russia, ever since Carlson landed in Russia.Carlson assured the entire interview, “shot to tape and unedited,” will be available for free on Tucker Carlson’s website, and he further thanked Elon Musk for having guaranteed that the interview will not be “suppressed or blocked” once Carlson posts on Musk's X platform, where Carlon has a daily, widely viewed podcast. The last person to interview Putin like this was renowned filmmaker Oliver Stone, who did a four-hour interview with the Russian leader in 2017 that was broadcast on Showtime. Stone, who allowed Putin, who asked probing question about history and culture, as well as about current history and Russian policy and views on the West, was denounced by the media establishment hacks as a Putin apologist, which some of the same types are already accusing Carlson of being, in advance of the interview.

Barbra Streisand Supports Out for 2-State SolutionFeb. 4--The American entertainment icon, award-winning singer and actress Barbra Streisand has come out for the creation of a two-state solution and the creation of a Palestinian state.Streisand comes from a Jewish family and describes herself as "a Jewess through and through, although I'm not religious," in a 1987 interview with Esquire magazine. Now taking to her Instagram account, Streisand has shared her support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This envisions an independent State of Palestine alongside the State of Israel, west of the Jordan River. She wrote: "When I first met Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres years ago, I asked him 'How can you help the Palestinians?' He replied 'By making their lives better!' We needed his advice then, and should urgently heed it now. In my humble opinion, we need a two-state solution that will hopefully  bring peace and prosperity to the region."

Jan. 31--When, today, the nation of Algeria calls upon the United Nations Security Council in New York to give “binding effect” to the just-released mandates of the International Court of Justice regarding the “plausible case” of genocide being committed by the Israeli military in Gaza, will the United States and Britain degrade the citizens of their respective nations, and the world, by their expected exercise of a veto? That would be, in effect, to veto the near-unanimous vote of the highest court in the world. Will the United States and Britain do that this time in the name of “defense of the rule of law?”  Will the United States and Britain, as they and other nations did with the meticulously researched and detailed South Africa petition, decry as “without merit” the legal conclusions and mandates of the panel of judges from Russia, Slovakia, France, Morocco, Somalia, China, India, Jamaica, Lebanon, Japan, Germany, Australia, Brazil, South Africa—and the United States itself?  In addition to the souls of Palestine, the ghosts of the United Nations personnel who have already given their lives in this mad conflagration will be watching, as will the eyes of the world. Now that the International Court of Justice has unequivocally established mandates upon the nation of Israel, a signatory on the 1948 Genocide Convention, with which that government is required to report on its actions in compliance within 30 days of the Jan. 26 ruling, it is clear to any reasonably sane person that that could only be done under the conditions of a permanent ceasefire. The shabby attempts by the Wall Street Journal, Jerusalem Post and other publications to say that no cease-fire was explicitly proposed by the court, suggests more about the now-rampant illiteracy of the 21st century press, than it does about what the content of the ruling clearly states. For example, this is clear if even only the first two of the 6 ICJ mandates’ provisions are considered:“1.) The State of Israel shall, in accordance with its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, in relation to Palestinians in Gaza, take all measures within its power to prevent the commission of all acts within the scope of Article II of this Convention, in particular:(a) killing members of the group;(b) causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;(c) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physicaldestruction in whole or in part; and(d) imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;   “2.)The State of Israel shall ensure with immediate effect that its military does not commit any acts described in point 1 above.” These measures can only be accomplished through the immediate cessation of conflict in Gaza.  In addition, there is no longer any escaping the fact, that a significant portion of the elected representatives of the governments of the Trans-Atlantic nations and NATO have placed themselves on the record in supporting the practice of genocide, as that practice has now been identified by the ICJ. The Center for Constitutional Rights, in a November 3 letter warning the American Congress against voting for military aid to Israel, stated, “ Please take notice that should you vote in favor of that package, you risk facing criminal and civil liability for aiding and abetting genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity under international law, and may face investigation and prosecution at the International Criminal Court, and in third-states under the principle of universal jurisdiction.” They also appended the following footnote: “Federal Criminal Law. Under 18 U.S.C. § 1091—which was enacted to comply with the United States’ obligation under the Genocide Convention—whoever commits, incites, attempts, or conspires genocide in or outside the United States, is eligible for punishment. See War Crimes Act, 18 U.S.C. § 2441 (a) and (b).”  Yes, the United States Congress and other American individuals {can} be held accountable. This is, of course the job of the American people, as it will be the job of people in all of the countries throughout the world where governments seek to force compliance with genocide upon their populations, as happened only 80 years ago. The courageous stand of the late Nelson Mandela’s South Africa on behalf of humanity, and therefore of the Palestinians, must now be adopted by all of us, as we shame the Anglo-American Establishment, and its accomplices, into exposing themselves to the world. And while it is they who are the perpetrators of war and genocide, it is we who are the preventers of it—should be we choose to do so. No business as usual! Cease-fire now! Bring all Nuremberg Criminals to justice!  Remember as the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. reminded us: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.”

There Is a Power in Truth, Which Force Cannot WithstandJan. 28—Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray pointed out, in the hours following South Africa’s (and the world’s) victory at the International Court of Justice on Jan. 26, that “it’s getting more difficult” for the Anglo-American establishment to ignore the power of truth, which, in some circumstances, as in Germany, 1989, can overturn despotism by “knocking out the brains of falsehood.” There are consequences that can inexorably follow from a population and a world inspired and aroused to act on behalf of that revealed truth. In an on Jan 26  interview with Judge Andrew Napolitano, Murray said: “Joe Biden obviously has problems with key parts of his own Democratic coalition, who are extremely unhappy about supporting genocide. And this (ICJ) ruling is going very much to strengthen their arm. And we must remember that this case (of genocide), which the ICJ has now declared is plausible, and is going to be heard—Joe Biden had declared it meritless. And he’s now contradicted by 15 of the most senior judges on the planet.“So, this gets more difficult for the United States. But I don’t doubt, just given everything in Biden’s record, it will still be vetoed. Then, it will go back to the General Assembly. And while people say the General Assembly has no force, it should be noted that a key part of today’s judgment was (the ICJ) reading out of a resolution of the General Assembly. And the ICJ has a very close relationship with the General Assembly. The General Assembly asks the ICJ regularly for opinions on matters before the General Assembly. So it will go back there, and there, the United States will be humiliated. Some of its European allies will desert it, because people start to worry about personal liability for complicity in genocide.“Just to give one example: here, in the U.K., the Genocide Convention is incorporated into domestic legislation, specifically, in the International Criminal Court Act of 2001. And complicity in genocide is an offense in law here. So, if the ICJ rules that this is a genocide, ultimately, those who were shipping weapons to Israel, those who were organizing surveillance flights to assist Israel in bombing Gaza, those who were passing intelligence to Israel, and the senior politicians, who authorized all of that—they’re all potentially at risk of criminal domestic charges for complicity in genocide. And I’m quite sure that will be true in quite a number of countries. So I do think this has the potential to affect the behavior of states.”Two situations now unfolding in the Southwest Asian theater—both of which are most likely forms of retaliation against the Jan. 26 ICJ ruling in favor of South Africa’s petition—may reveal to the world, in the short term, the institutions and the deeper policy-sponsorship of the Netanyahu government’s present relentless ethnic cleansing of Gaza. Nine nations have suddenly announced that they are suspending the funding of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). That agency, which since 1949 has been central to sustaining whole sectors of the Palestinian population, and has already been reduced from 13,000 to 3,000 personnel, is being de facto shut down, based on Israeli assertions that “some of its employees” were perhaps engaged in the Oct. 7 attack. The United States, Canada, Germany, the U.K., Switzerland, Finland, Italy, and other nations have cut aid. But United Nations Secretary General Guterres has pointed out that “Of the 12 people implicated, 9 were immediately identified and terminated by the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, Philippe Lazzarini; one is confirmed dead, and the identity of the two others is being clarified…. Any UN employee involved in acts of terror will be held accountable, including through criminal prosecution.”Then, there is the statement by President Joe Biden about the intention of the United States to respond to the killing on Saturday, Jan. 27, of three American servicemen in Jordan. “While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq…. And have no doubt—we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner of our choosing.” From Afghanistan to Ukraine, to Gaza, to Iran, “the march of folly” by the dying Anglo-American financial establishment is increasingly the target of both derision and intervention, by those that have chosen, as South Africa did, to stand up for humanity, and have re-discovered through the successful South Africa ICJ initiative the power of truth. This increasingly includes forces in the United States. The Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), in search of historical precedents for the head-long careening of the United States into the abyss, said in their Jan. 25 VIPS Memorandum, “ To Biden: Avoiding a Third World War:” "On July 13, 2023, you said Putin ‘has already lost the war.’…“Ukraine has lost the war, and this will become very clear in the weeks ahead. Given the lack of any prospect for negotiations, nothing short of nuclear weapons could stop the measured but inexorable advance of Russian forces. You have said you want to avoid World War III. That’s what nukes (including ‘mini’ ones) would mean….“At this historic juncture, we might seek what wisdom historians might offer.” We, and particularly Helga Zepp-LaRouche, emphatically agree. All, be they VIPS members, world legislators, clergy, leaders of institutions varying from trade-unions to think-tanks, are encouraged to read, study, and critique Zepp-LaRouche’s “Ten Principles of a New International Security and Development Architecture.” That document was produced from her extensive study of the diplomacy of Cardinal Nicholas of Cusa, the negotiations of the 1644-48 Treaty of Westphalia, the composition of the United States Declaration of Independence and the Preamble of the United States Constitution, and the historical studies of Friedrich Schiller, for whom the Schiller Institute was named forty years ago. Poet-historian Friedrich Schiller, whose History of the Thirty Years War, Revolt of the Netherlands, and other studies, along with his plays, have been for four decades since 1984, the basis for the Schiller Institute’s foreign policy proposals, understood better than anyone the difference between force and power. Schiller also, through his letters “On the Aesthetic Education of Man,” illumined how the freedom which all people claim to want, can only be achieved—including in government—through an education of the emotions that elevates the individual soul into a state of beauty, from which it will never retreat. That education, mediated through various “development projects,” is the method by means of which policy must be made. It was the spirit of that aesthetic education of humanity which appeared in The Hague courtroom, in the petition-indictment by the South African delegation, and its ethnically diverse, formidably competent legal team. Friday’s “stride toward freedom” can be the “limit to the tyrant’s power” should we choose to make it so.
